Sequim Gym Tai Chi
Tai Chi Chuan is an ancient Chinese form of exercise originally created as a martial art. Tai Chi was accredited to a Taoist Monk named Zhang San Feng as its creator. Its origins date back over 700 years with some accounts of over 1500 years. Tai Chi is a type of Qigong (Chi Kung) practiced by millions of people worldwide every day. Tai Chi/Qigong practice involves moving meditation, coordinating slow flowing movements and deep rhythmic breathing.
Developed originally in China as a self-defense strategy, Tai Chi is practiced today as a gentle exercise program. Tai Chi is known for its myriad of health benefits and promotes stress reduction, peace of mind, greater balance, pain reduction and many other scientifically proven benefits with regular practice.
